 Winston Grammar
I first discovered Winston Grammar at a bookstore's going out of business sale. My oldest son was 5 years old and I knew one day I would need to teach him grammar, so I bought it. A few years later, I pulled it out of my stash and was pleasantly surprised. Here was a manipulative approach to learning grammar.
In the basic level, your child will learn 22 parts of speech over the course of 30 lessons. Great for the kinesthetic and/or visual learner. The Basic Winston Grammar Set includes a student workbook, teacher's manual, and card set.
Once your child has completed the Basic Winston Grammar Set, continue with the Advanced Winston Grammar Set for further study of grammar. Extra workbooks and card sets may be purchased for each additional child.
Placement tests are available to help you decide which level to buy for your child. If you believe the child has a significant amount of basic grammar knowledge, administer the Basic Posttest. If the student does well, you will be able to successfully begin the Advanced Level Winston Grammar Program. If you would like to have your child take a placement test, click the links below:
