Making The Most of the Preschool Yearsby Valerie Bendt At bookfairs, I get asked many questions about homeschooling. One question that keeps popping up is:
What can I do with my preschooler?
Now for some people this means, "I can't wait to start homeschooling and my child is only 3. What can I do until we start formal education." For others this means, "I have four older kids that need my attention and the two year old distracts our lessons. What can I do to keep him occupied." Thanks to Valerie Bendt, I now have the answer to both of these questions. This book has 100 activities to encourage your pre-schooler in independent play. Some of them are elaborate (the whole family will probably want to join in), while others are simple and easy to involve your little one in while the rest of the family is busy with their work. (As I'm writing this, my two year old is drawing in a book I had borrowed from a friend. I guess I need to get Valerie's book out and give him something useful to do. Yikes!
