Dinah Zike Books

I fell in love with Dinah Zike's books before ever meeting her. She introduced me to the term "dividing the data" which gave me a name for what I had already been doing. Her simple method of folding paper to present a variety of topics have helped me teach children in a variety of settings.

The layered book is great for the 10 commandments, solar system or any subject with four or more parts. The "Question and Answer" book is great for drawing a picture or glueing a photo on the flap that, when you lifted gives room to write a description of the picture. There is a project folder that my be used to present a report with illustrations or organize a unit study. All of these give your child something concrete to show grandparents and friends when they ask "What are your kids learning?"
