The Cuisenaire Alphabet Book is great way to introduce the Cuisenaire Rods and reinforce phonics skills at the same time. Each two page spread has a capital letter with pictures of things that begin with that letter. Your child can cover these letters and pictures with the rods and then color the picture.

Use Cuisenaire Alphabet Book before starting Miquon Math so the Cuisenaire Rods will be familiar to your child. My young children have enjoyed using the Cuisenaire Alphabet Book along side their big brother while he does his math.
