Creation Puzzles

Puzzles can be a great asset in the Bible Class. Whether you put them together as a group, or let individual children work them, the children will have their attention focused on the picture (and the story it relates) for an extended period of time. They will also be manipulating the picture further impressing it on their mind. While they are working the puzzle, be sure to encourage them to talk about the story they are working on.

For older children, you can use the puzzles as a review game. Have a list of as many questions as there are puzzle pieces. Lay the puzzle pieces face down on the table. Ask the class the question (or let each child draw a question from a hat). If a child answers the question correctly he/she can choose a puzzle piece from the table to place on the puzzle. The whole class will be pleased as they work together to complete the puzzle.
