Dry Erase/Magnetic Boards 12"X9" Set of 10
Our Price $57.95
My first thought for using these blank boards in Bible class was in the toddler-1st grade age groups. You can make magnetic pictures of the Bible story characters that can be used like a felt board. Make a set of pictures for each child. After you have presented the story, give each child a board and a set of pictures. Let them either tell the story back to you using their pictures, or have them find pictures to put on the board as you review the story.
You can also use the dry erase/magnetic boards to help the class make a picture. If you are studying the birth of Jesus, draw the outline of the stable with a Sharpie. Have magnetized pictures ready of Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus etc for each child to add to the picture. Praise them for helping you make such a pretty picture.
The older children will enjoy using the dry erase boards as you do Bible drill in class. Ahead of class, choose passages that you want the children to look up in their Bibles. (One Sunday, we looked 6 passages in the New Testament that told about someone being resurrected.) During class, call out a passage. Tell the children to read it and find the name (or description) of the person that was resurrected. When they find it, write it on the dry erase board. After all the children have found the answer, see who got the right one. Many times when doing drills of this sort, the fastest children always get to answer the question and the slower ones just give up. This way, everyone gets to answer. My students love it.
