Old Testament Times explores the relevance of the historical, political, social, and economic frameword of the begginning and growth of the Israelite people. RK Harrison believes that the more we know about the ancient Near East people the better we'll be able to understand the Old Testament and the Jewish people. If we can learn about the history, religion, languages, literatures and cultures of those around the Israelites, we'll read the Old Testament with an understanding that will bring it to life.
